Firefox is Being Needy

May 9, 2008 on 5:00 am | In Uncategorized | 1 Comment

My installation of Firefox is being weird. Whenever it is open, its fine, but if I minimize it, it starts using up a lot of CPU power.

From this I can only infer two possible scenerios:

1. Firefox is secretly plotting to take over the world by taking advantage of CPU cycles I’m not using. It’s like SETI using computers from around the world to find life on other planets, but more towards trying to destroy life on this one.

or

2. Firefox is using the increased CPU usage to slow down other programs and cause me to come back to it. Firefox wants attention and it wants it NOW by interfering with my work.

The two options are not mutually exclusive.

  1. Hahaha, it looks like you got yourself a girlfriend. Or that Firefox has a secret crush on you.
